Creating a unique & timeless home
About Rimington Interiors
Thanks to incredibly patient parents, Rebecca spent her childhood re-imagining any space she was allowed to touch. No colour, pattern or trend was off limits. This led to a love of all things interior design and a lifelong passion.
Since then, Rebecca has continued to study and develop her skills both in the USA and Europe. In addition to graduating from The Interior Design Institute, she has worked as a merchandising specialist for a large retail chain and has over 15 years experience as a Project Manager for several award winning design agencies.

As well as a genuine passion for transforming spaces, Rebecca has a unique style which she brings to every project and cannot wait to help you create your dream space, however big or small.

Bedroom design inspiration
In order to make the transition to a new home a little easier,we were asked to create a bedroom sanctuary for a 16 year old with a youthful design style - organic with a boho-look inspired by Urban Outfitters and Oliver Bonos.
The room needed to be a versatile space – a restful bedroom but also a focused space for work and study, calming sanctuary for relaxation and fun for hanging out with friends. She requested soft layers and plenty of comfortable textures as well as an interesting way to display her personal photos and special memorabilia.

The agreed colour palette was warm earthy tones with some contrasting grey and blue. Natural materials for added texture. Copper/brass metal tones.
Kitchen redesign
Here we used rattan and wood along with touches of brass. Classic shaker cabinetry painted in two tones of green with hexagon brass handles to ensure clean lines and an uncluttered feel.
Between the cabinets, we used a striking glass emerald metro tile laid vertically to add a dramatic pop. Flooring in a natural limestone added a softness and balance against the green colour pallete.
Natural stoneware in hues of green and blue beautifully displayed behind glass cabinet doors, glass wall planters housing trailing plants and a leaf pattern roman blind completed the look.
Residential ground floor renovation
To ensure harmony and cohesion, we carefully chose furniture, art, soft furnishings and accessories which played on the theme of nature with a strong botanical influence. The analogous colour scheme of blues and greens lent itself perfectly to this.Â
We also wanted to ensure a calm and relaxed mood without being too neutral. Using pops of colour, texture and pattern, we created interest and charm.Â
Whilst the design influences of the furniture may not all be the same, we were mindful in ensuring that items had similarities which tied them together; be it leg shape, woven pattern or brass trim.
